What to see in Shoreditch, London

Last week I spent a few days in London with my friends, Daveei and Sole. London is truly magical and always surprises me. You find magical places in every corner, where you would wish to live. When I visited New York for the first time I thought that London was much unique. Anyway, last week I discovered two new districts: Shoreditch and Dalston. In this post I will show you what you can't miss in Shoreditch.

La semana pasada estuve unos días en Londres con dos amigos, Daveei y Sole. Londres es realmente mágico y siempre consigue sorprenderme. A cada esquina encuentras rincones mágicos donde te quedarías a vivir. Recuerdo que cuando visité Nueva York por primera vez pensé que Londres le daba mil vueltas. Anyway, estos días descubrí dos barrios nuevos que no conocía: Shoreditch y Dalston. En este post os mostraré los sitios que no os podéis perder en Shoreditch.

Food
In Brick Lane, probably the liveliest street in Shoreditch, you will find two of my favorite sites: Cereal Killer and Beigel Shop. The first one is a cafe selling a thousand varieties of cereals from all over the world. You choose how to combine them, which milk and what kind of topping (cookies, oreos, diplos, etc.). The second, the Beigel Shop, is an institution in Bagels. You can combine them with many ingredients. They are cheap and delicious. Don't forget to try their famous (and delicious) Rainbow Bagels. And if you feel like pizza, do not miss Pizza East, a restaurant in an old tea factory now owned by Soho House & Co.

Comida
En Brick Lane, probablemente la calle más animada de Shoreditch, encontrarás dos de mi sitios favoritos: Cereal Killer y Beigel Shop. El primero es un café donde venden miles de variedades de cereales de todo el mundo. Tu eliges cómo combinarlos, qué tipo de leche echarles y si quieres añadirles uno de sus miles de toppings (galletas, oreos, diplos, etc.). El segundo, el Beigel Shop, una institución en lo que a bagels se refiere. Podrás combinarlos con infinidad de ingredientes. Son baratos y están super ricos. No dejes de probar sus famosos (y deliciosos) Rainbow Bagels. Y si tienes ganas de pizza, no te pierdas Pizza East, un restaurante dentro de una antigua fábrica de té ahora propiedad de Soho House & Co.

Music
Rough Trade Store is located in the former Stella Artois brewery in a courtyard off Brick Lane and puts on free music gigs on a high-spec stage for an audience of 200. The shop sells many music from bands without distribution deals and a quarter of the merchandise is vinyl. Every item, vinyl and CD, has a written description to encourage browsing and discovery.

La tienda Rough Trade está situada en la antigua fábrica de la cerveza Stella Artois, en un patio fuera de Brick Lane y ofrece conciertos gratuitos en un escenario con aforo para una audiencia de 200 personas. La tienda vende mucha música de bandas sin distribución y una cuarta parte del producto son vinilos. Cada artículo, tiene una descripción escrita para favorecer el descubrimiento.

Fashion & Urban art
In addition to many thrift stores, you will find unique shops such as Nike Lab, Religion, Goodhood, House of Hackney or Boxpark. If you are lucky you can also find some pop-up shop selling sample sales. And of course, you should walk aimless discovering its unique shops, magic corners and urban art. Definitely a unique neighborhood that will surprise you.

Además de muchísimas tiendas de segunda mano, aquí encontrarás tiendas únicas como Nike Lab, Religion, Goodhood, House of Hackney o Boxpark. Si tienes suerte puede que encuentres también alguna tienda pop-up vendiendo muestras de diseñadores. Y por supuesto, camina por todas sus calles dejándote sorprender por sus rincones, negocios únicos y arte urbano. Sin duda, un barrio único que te sorprenderá.
