TOKYO: Harajuku, Shibuya and Roppongi!

Hello! I'm back from two amazing weeks in Japan! You can imagine how many things I have to tell you... We visited Tokyo - Kyoto - Arashiyama - Osaka - Koyasan - Shirahama - Tokyo. This was my third trip to Japan, but the first for Ideotta, and the travels with Ideotta are always magical!

Hola, recién llegada de dos increíbles semanas en Japón! Os podéis imaginar la de cosas que tengo para contaros... Nuestra ruta ha sido: Tokio - Kioto - Arashiyama - Osaka - Koyasan - Shirahama - Tokio. Éste ha sido mi tercer viaje a Japón, pero el primero para Ideotta, y los viajes con Ideotta siempre son mágicos!

Kimi Ryokan

We arrived in Tokyo at 9 am (not a good time to face fatigue and jetlag) and went directly to  our ryokan for the following 3 nights: Kimi Ryokan. The truth is that finding accommodation in Japan for this period has not been easy. Everything was fully booked. I still can't believe that I found this highly recommendable ryokan in the district of Ikebukuro. Cozy, clean, convenient and cheap (€ 50 a night).

Llegamos a Tokio a las 9 de la mañana (no es una buena hora para hacer frente al cansancio y posible jetlag) y fuimos directos al que sería nuestro ryokan las próximas 3 noches: Kimi Ryokan. La verdad es que encontrar alojamiento en Japón en estas fechas no ha sido tarea fácil. Prácticamente todo estaba con el cartel de: COMPLETO. No se ni como di con este ryokan en el barrio de Ikebukuro, pero os lo recomiendo totalmente. Acogedor, limpio, bien situado y económico (algo menos de 50€ la noche).

We left our luggage and went straight to Harajuku. It was our only Sunday in Tokyo and we didn't want to miss the cosplay there, where people dress up like manga, gothic, etc. We strolled through its most famous street, Takeshita Dori, and the most exclusive, Omotesando. In Omotesando we fell in love with the store Kiddy Land, the paradise of toys with an exclusive floor for Rilakkuma!!!! I would have bought the everything!

Dejamos las maletas y nos fuimos directos a Harajuku, aprovechando que era nuestro único domingo en Tokio, día en el que puedes ver a los seguidores de Cosplay (juego de disfraces) vestidos de dibujos manga, góticos, etc. Paseamos por su calle más famosa, Takeshita Dori y por la más exclusiva, Omotesando. En Omotesando nos enamoramos de la tienda Kiddy Land, el paraíso de los juguetes con una planta exclusiva para Rilakkuma!!!! Me la hubiera comprado entera!

Gyoza Lou

At about 7pm we were already asleep. We couldn't take it anymore. We slept fifteen hours straight! The next day, with renewed strength, we returned to Harajuku to see it more awake. We ate amazing gyozas at Gyoza Lou, delicious, cheap and very nice! From here we walked to the famous Shibuya crossing and then to Roppongi Hills, to see Tokyo by night from the top. Inside Roppongi Hills we find out the MORI museum! And, of course, I went inside!

A eso de las 19h ya estábamos durmiendo. No pudimos aguantar más. Dormimos quince horas seguidas! Al día siguiente, con fuerzas renovadas, volvimos a Harajuku para verlo más despiertos. Comimos unas gozas increíbles en Gyoza Lou, delicioso, barato y muy agradable! De aquí nos fuimos caminando hasta el famoso cruce de Shibuya, para luego ir a Roppongi Hills a ver Tokio de noche y desde lo alto. Dentro descubrimos el museo MORI! Y, por supuesto, no pude por menos que visitarlo!
