On our second day in Marseille, we walked along our neighborhood Cours Julien, locally and fondly know as Cours Ju'. This quarter is know as the artists, rebels, musicians and "bobos" (bohemian-bourgeois) district. The statement is made clear at every single corner: creativity has easily pulled into the lead here.
El segundo día en Marsella decidimos dar una vuelta por nuestro barrio, Cours Julien, conocido localmente como Cours Ju'. Es considerado el barrio de artistas, rebeldes, músicos y "bobos" (burgués-bohemio). Esto queda claro en cuanto pones un pie en el barrio. Cada esquina es una declaración visual de ello, de la creatividad que campa a sus anchas por el barrio.

HIt won't be easy to beat the moment in which we met... It was a very intimate moment, specially for him, who was peacefully taking care of his business (after a heavy Christmas dinner, I guess). With an ancient beauty, all in black and white, well designed white mustache and white little hoofs, he took my heart. Another impossible love.
Será difícil superar el momento en el que él y yo nos conocimos... Fue un momento muy íntimo, principalmente para él, que se encontraba tranquilamente haciendo sus necesidades después de una copiosa cena de Navidad (deduzco). De belleza antigua, en blanco y negro, con su bigote blanco dibujado y sus pezuñas blanquitas... otro amor imposible.

HI met these little characters in an other quartier, Le Panier. All of them worth mentioning in this post about Marseille's urban art. This is the district where my impossible love and I met each other's eyes and fell in love. Just because of that, I will dedicate Le Panier some lines in following posts.
Estos personajes, si bien podrían ser asiduos del barrio Cours Ju', los encontré en otro barrio: Le Panier. Todos ellos muy dignos de este post de arte urbano en Marsella. Éste es el barrio donde mi amor imposible y yo cruzamos nuestra mirada y saltaron chispas. Solo por eso, le dedicaré un espacio en posts sucesivos.

Every wall in this neighborhood is an unfinished canvas, where some artworks live on and some other are replaced by new colorful creations. You could spend hours walking the streets as if it were an open air museum. Cours Julien Museum.
Cada muro en este barrio es un lienzo inacabado, donde unas creaciones perduran y otras son reemplazadas por nuevos mensajes coloristas. Puedes dedicar horas y horas a recorrer sus calles como si de un museo al aire libre se tratase. Museo Cours Julien.
